Steve Hawley moderated sessions in the conference tracks entitled “DRM: Securing the Future of IPTV” and “Content Production Potpourri” - part of the “Telecom 2008@NAB” conference which took place within the 80th annual conference of the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB Show) on April 16, 2008. 

On June, 17, 2008, Steven Hawley moderated a panel entitled IPTV QoS and QoE - Service Differentiator in the Battleground of Competition, part of the Technical Track of the ATIS TechThink Conference at NXTcomm 2008 in Las Vegas.  ATIS is the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions, a key IPTV standards organization. 

In July, 2008, Steven Hawley led sessions at the IPTV World Forum North America conference, part of the IPTV World Series conferences produced by UK-based Informa Telecoms and Media.   The conference took place on July 22-23, 2008, at McCormick Place in Chicago.  The conference brochure is available

The 2008 TelcoTV Conference took place at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA.  Steven Hawley of tvstrategies moderated the panel entitled “Middleware Strategies,” on November 12, 2008.  Panelists included managers from Iowa Network Services, Citizens Mutual Telephone Cooperative and EchoStar Communications

In December 2008, InteractiveTV Today [itvt], the first, best and most widely read news source for the emerging interactive television industry, teamed with IPTV researcher tvstrategies, to launch a 2009 research, advisory and co-marketing services offering.

On January 28 and 29, 2009, the third annual IPTV World Forum Latin America 2009 event was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  Steven Hawley of tvstrategies was Conference Chair and moderator for Day 2 of the conference.  The conference program is available for download here.

The fifth annual IPTV World Forum event took place at Olympia, London, on March 27-29, 2009.  Steven Hawley presented a Technical Symposium on Open APIs for IPTV, and was one of the Judges for the IPTV World Series Awards, which go to notable service providers and suppliers in the IPTV industry.  The conference program is available for download here.

On March 10-11, 2009, Tracy Swedlow’s InteractiveTV Today [itvt] presented the third annual TV of Tomorrow Show in San Francisco, California.  Steven Hawley of tvstrategies will be moderating an IPTV panel at this exciting experts conference, which focuses on the blossoming interactive television industry.

In March 2009, the 2009 [itvt] Industry Intelligence Program, a unique industry research, advisory and marketing services program, released a major qualitative research report entitled IPTV Middleware and Beyond: Service Delivery Platforms for Operator Growth and the Millennial Generation, which was written by Steven Hawley
